2008 Navy Pictures

I have always loved the Navy. Of course, while I was in I fussed and fussed about how much I didn’t enjoy it, but now that I have been in and out I’ve realized just how much it has shaped my life and who I am today. Had it not been for the NAVY I would not have the same people in my life that I do now and I would not be as proud of my job now if I had not served myself.

I came across this today in my work email and thought you might enjoy a look at it. It is a compilation of photos representing the hard work that our NAVY men and women have put in over the past year. The military works hard not just this past year, but every year and not just the NAVY, but every branch of service.

2008 Year in Review - Go Navy

I am always touched by images of the hard working Sailor, Soldier or Marine. I know the sacrifice as a family member that it takes from the families. The wife who misses her husband, the children who just don’t get enough time with their parent.

Thank God for the country that we live in and the people, my friends that are out there preserving our freedoms daily.
